Most have dried adhesive on the back, some more than others, We did not attempt to peel it off so that we do not risk breaking the tiles. We recommend putting your new glue over the old or you can scrape off. You will be hard pressed to ever find another source for these! I would guess from the 40s or 50s?If you need to match up your vintage bathroom or want to create one, this may be your only chance. THESE ARE HARD PLASTIC LIKE MATERIAL (NOT ACTUAL MARBLE OR CERAMIC.) THEY HAVE A MARBLE LOOK TO THEM. THERE ARE VARIATIONS IN THEM JUST LIKE REAL MARBLE MAKING EACH TILE UNIQUE. Tips for cleaning these tiles:Soak in water with a bit of dish detergent for half hour,Then Gently scrap edges with finger, cloth, or popsicle stick.Surface can be cleaned with a cloth, but Do not press hard, tiles may crack.Support bottom/underside when cleaning with cloth if pushing down with any pressureDry and install tile with latex caulk or other adhesive that is safe for plastics.
