A fantastic antique Art Deco estate solid 14k yellow gold manual bezel wind Gruen Verithin pocket watch dating to the early 1920s, size 9. The face with superb gold floral decorations above a seconds hand, the reverse with cursive engraved initials ‘FCB’. The case and dust cover are stamped ’14K’ and ‘234387’, ‘Gruen Cincinatti’, ‘Verithin Model’. The movement is numbered ‘479311’ and marked ’15 Joules’, ‘Gruen Watch Co Verithin Suisse’. The movement measures about 37.25mm across. The watch weighs about 52.4 grams. The watch appears to run well and keep the time when wound with the seconds hand sweeping around nicely. The dial has a little wear, the beveled crystal has a small scratch and otherwise general 100 year overall light wear. Please check all the pictures.
