I have for sale, a previously enjoyed, original Browning Travel Vault model 5115. This is the one that had the full size Ford Bronco driving over it in a muddle puddle in the original ads! This case measures approximately 52 inches long, 18 inches across and 6 inches tall. It has kept my firearms safe in travels across North America from Newfoundland to Alaska and many destinations in between. I never had an issue with losing zero on a trip with this case. The purge valve works as intended, when you land – you open it and will hear a hiss from the pressurization. The case is water and dust proof due to the O-ring design. The case was originally cut out for a rifle and an over under. I bought new sheet of foam and switched it to a large bolt action rifle with 26 inch barrel and muzzle break and made two accessory pockets where I stored a pair of 8 x 30 Swarovski binoculars and my sling, lens cleaning kit …. I’ve been able to use any conventionally stocked rifle in the cutout. I’ve used a Weatherby Accumark, Weatherby Vanguard, Browning Gold Medallion A-bolt, Browning Stainless Stalker with Boss, Browning Micro Medallion, Browing X-bolt. … with this and they all fit fine. The cutout is forgiving yet ultimately protective vs just squishing your gun between foam like so many other cases do. If you rather do your own cutout, replacement foam is sold on Amazon ($19), Cabelas ($25) so you could easily customize this to your needs. It comes with two long shackle Master Locks with 2 sets of keys (second set not pictured). They are not keyed alike. This was made for Browing by Pelican and the current option retails for $350.
