Greyhound Large Door Knocker LARGE GREYHOUND / WHIPPET Door Knocker in Bronze (4″ high x 1 3/8″ wide x 2 1/2″ deep) Item: Wonderful Greyhound / Whippet Large Door Knocker, individually lost wax cast in Bronze. VERY RARE! I have just started these, in response to LOTS of requests from my clients for Larger Door Knockers, so very few have EVER been made! Large animal head, hollowed out underneath that pivots on a strike plate. The dimensions of the full pieces vary depending on the Head that is used, and you can see a medium sized hand in the background of some of the photos, for scale. The strike plate is about 4″ high x 1 1/4″ wide. The pieces are quite substantial and suitable for exterior doors. Oval head screws included. Makes a great gift! I am the ONLY one who makes these. Very few of these have EVER been made! I am making more dogs and animals in this format, and you might consider getting more. Please let me know if you are looking for an animal or dog that I have not yet made! I am the ONLY one who makes these. Any of these items are also available with a coppery brown patina, or with nickel plating. There is a small fee for adding a patina and an additional charge for nickel plating.
