Marantz 2270 — RESTORED/TESTED/VERIFIED For sale is the famous Marantz 2270 receiver, designed in CA and well built in Japan in 1972. The receiver has been extensively refurbished, cleaned and tested. The changes are listed below. The receiver is rated at 70 watts per channel. The refurbishment is detailed below. In summary this unit has been brought too modern specs with caps, transistors and resistors replaced where necessary to provide reliability with the sound supplied by the famous Marantz topology. This amplifier will provide another 40 years of sound performance. Here is a summary of the performance testing: Power Output w/ 1khz sine wave Left 91 watts Right 92 watts THD @ 70 watts 1khz sine wave Left 0.02% Right 0.01% The following work has been performed on this unit: Cosmetic: Cleaned inside and out Top case has been powder coated. New LEDs installed Vellum paper replaced Chrome RCA jacks polished to like new shine Main in/Pre out cleaned Spring clip speaker terminal replaced with 5 way binding posts on main speaker terminals Overall condition is above average.
