eBay Minolta Maxxum/Sony Alpha 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens Mint Minus Condition w/ Hoya UV(0) Filter You are bidding on a very nice, gently used Maxxum 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 zoom lens in mint minus condition. (S/N 133021xx). The glass is simply pristine. No scratches, blemishes, or fungus inside, and the blades are snappy. Cosmetically, the exterior of the lens shows minimal wear under bright light and close inspection. The rubberized zoom and focus rings are clean and look great, as does the lens mount. There is one ding on the lens barrel where some enamel has been chipped off. (See photo #6) and there is a small crack in the focus window that does not affect operation. (See photo #10) The gold “Passed” sticker is still near mint condition. Both lens caps and hood are included with the lens. A nice Hoya UV(0) filter is also included. At this low price, the lens offers excellent value in a 300mm zoom, particularly in such good condition. Minolta engineers employed a “double tele-zoom system” in the construction of this lens, resulting in an incredibly short and light lens with a 3 to 1 focal length range. Also included is a “Focus Hold” button on the lens barrel, particularly useful at longer focal lengths. If you need 300mm reach for sports or wildlife shooting but are on a budget, this is your lens. If you can afford it, I’d recommend the APO version for better performance at 300mm or even the silver 75-300mm D version, but this well built, well designed lens will certainly do you fine for about a hundred bucks in normal shooting situations.
