After owning a Mosaic XT-1 that I had also custom built and LOVED, I set to have the titanium artisans at Mosaic build up a performance oriented Mosaic GT-1 AR gravel frame for me. The tweaks over the standard GT-1 AR are in the tube-set selection. I had Mosaic use a 42mm downtube, 38mm top tube, 35 mm seat-tube and 19mm seat stays. This provides for a very high performance ride. This is the beauty of going custom is you get to tweak an already amazing frame. Frame/fork has clearance for 38mm gravel tires. I have run Gravel King’s in a 38 and had good clearance. Equipped with the right group and wheelset, this frame can be a one bike fits all at home in a fast road ride, to racing the world’s best gravel races. See the build sheet for exact dimensions/geometry. From the Mosaic website: On the spectrum of gravel bikes, the Mosaic GT-1 AR (All-Road) is closer to a road bike than an adventure bike. The geometry lands between traditional road and off-road frame specs with short chainstay length, steep front head angle, oversized head tube, and carbon fork. This provides a snappy feel on the road while low bottom brackets, a slightly longer wheelbase, and tire size make for stable off-road handling. It is built on a flat mount disc brake platform for all-terrain stopping force and also creates clearance for a 38c tire. The 3/2.5 double butted tubeset can take the abuse of riding all year in any climate without worry of corrosion or denting with minimal care. Smaller diameter tubes are hand selected according to rider weight, providing a more compliant ride. In contrast to the oversized and responsive X or R-Series tube selection that can be oriented towards race performance, the GT-1 aims at a different category of performance: one of comfort, longevity, and functionality. The GT-1 is a perfect bike for year round riding.
