Many if not most suppliers of HVAC equipment and parts will only sell to licensed HVAC contractors. A significant amount of education, training, and hands-on experience is required to become a Licensed HVAC Professional. While professionals can also make mistakes, it is MUCH more likely someone trying to fix their own equipment will have an issue. A high percentage of my parts are sold to other professionals or businesses that buy parts to resell…..it’s been literally years since a professional purchased one of my parts and asked to return it. Unfortunately people trying to fix their own equipment often purchase the wrong part, or they misdiagnose the issue and buy a part that was not what they needed to fix their equipment, or they install it incorrectly. Parts like this with an electronic component (circuit board) can be easily damaged by mishandling or improper installation. I can’t look at this part and see if it works properly – often damage to electronic components is not visible. So if it’s returned I can’t be sure it still works properly and I cannot sell it again. While it is possible for someone who is not an HVAC Professional to fix their own equipment- it is significantly more likely someone trying to fix their own equipment will have issues than a licensed, HVAC professional. Thats why my return policy is different for licensed HVAC professionals than it is for others. ———————————————- If you have a problem : I do care that people who purchase from me are pleased.
