Offered for sale is a fully rebuilt/refurbished Quantum Turbo SC “slim compact” battery pack. The Quantum Turbo line are external power supplies meant to directly supply high voltage power to camera flashes so equipped with an external high voltage port(which most high end modern flashes have) for ultra-fast flash recycle times. With the Turbo SC, a Nikon SB-800 or SB-900 will recycle in about 1 second from full power, and a Metz 45 series flash will recycle in about 1.5 seconds. These packs will supply power for several hundred flashes(depending on the exact power output of the flash gun being used). They can also be used, with the appropriate cable and/or adapter, to power many digital cameras. This particular one on offer has been fully rebuilt with new, quality NiMH cells. When I rebuild these packs, I use 2000mAH rated cells(equal to the original rating, and chosen for low internal resistance and long service life). The cells are properly spot welded together before being shrink wrapped and reinstalled. While rebuilding the pack, I perform several charge/discharge cycles of the cells to condition them properly for optimum performance. I load-tested the cells in this pack twice, and found that their actual power delivery to be between 2050 and 2100mAH. After bench testing, I re-assemble the pack, charge it with a Quantum charger, and test against a Metz 45 CL-4 flash to be sure it will deliver the rated recycle times and number of flashes. Every pack I rebuild also gets a real world “field test” of me using it for a day before selling it. In other words, this one is rebuilt, fully tested, and ready to go. No charger is included. Also, no cord to connect this pack to a flash or camera is included. Chargers and most cords are still available new from Quantum. This one is guaranteed working, although I did not cosmetically refurbish it.
