Christmas Village Porcelain Lighted “Ink & Twill Stationery Shoppe” 9″ Tall – Scenes InsideThis is a nice porcelain village piece. It has been displayed, but is in nice condition. It includes the original box and packing foam. The box has some wear.It is a nice building. It is marked on the bottom with “Santa’s Workbench Collection – 2000 Ink & Twill Stationery Shoppe”. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The piece measures about 9.25″ tall to the tip of the chimney, and the base is 9″ x 6.5″. The colors and textures are great with field stones making up the stairs and 2 sides of the of the first floor with angled red brick on the other two sides of the building. Then on the 2nd floor oit looks like cement or plaster and wood. The 2nd floor is wider than the first floor. The roof is brown shingles on one side, and then multi color shingles on the other roof. Out front there is a sign above a green and gold awning. The sign says “Ink & Twill Stationery Shoppe”. The great feature of the building are the windows. There are two in the front. On the first floor you can see some of the wares in the shop. On the second floor you see the curtains pulled to the side. There are also clear windows on either side of the building. On the left side of the building there is a second business. It is “Bartleby The Book Binder”. There is a side entrance and a little window with some books on the windowsill.This light goes into the building so that the light can shine out all of the clear windows. The light cord is good and has an on/off dial. It is very tight in the foam box, so be careful when you take it out of the box. Be patient and slide it out little by little. If you have a village and are looking for a great unique business, give this one a shot. Perhaps you know someone who has a village, this would make a nice gift. If you want a fun piece without paying the higher prices of modern name brands, take a look.
