PROBABLY ALMOST EVERYONE WOULD AGREE THAT THE PROCESS OF MULTI TRACK RECORDING (ESPECIALLY SIMUL SYNC RECORDING) IS SOMEWHAT COMPLICATED, UNTIL YOU’VE ACTUALLY GONE THROUGH THE PROCESS SEVERAL TIMES. AND TEAC HAS WRITTEN SEVERAL GREAT OWNER’S MANUALS FOR THEIR 3340 SERIES OF MULTI TRACK DECKS, AS WELL AS THE A-3440, ALL OF WHICH EXPLAIN, STEP BY STEP, HOW TO MAKE MULTI TRACK SYMUL SYNC RECORDINGS. BUT FOR SOME, THE PROCESS STILL SEEMS SOMEWHAT COMPLICATED. SO, TO TAKE THE WORK OUT OF HAVING TO POUR OVER AN OWNER’S MANUAL, TO LEARN THE PROCESS, TEAC CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF RECORDING THE STEP BY STEP PROCESS, SO ONE COULD “HEAR” THE PROCESS, RATHER THAN HAVE TO READ AND COMPREHEND THE WORDS ON SEVERAL PAGES OF INSTRUCTIONS. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I’VE BEEN AROUND TEAC DECKS FOR ABOUT FIFTY OR SO YEARS, AND I NEVER KNEW TEAC HAD MADE A RECORDING OF THE PROCESS. THE 33 1/3 RECORD TEAC MADE IS NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION, AND IT IS HARD TO FIND. BUT NOW YOU CAN OBTAIN THE INFORMATION, ALL ON ONE STANDARD COMPACT DISC. THE CD PLAY TIME IS ABOUT 45 MINUTES TOTAL. THIS CD COMES WITH A FULL COLOR (PICTURES AND DESCRIPTION) BROCHURE THAT PROVIDES EXCELLENT TIPS AND INFORMATION THAT GO ALONG WITH THE AUDIO PRESENTATION ON THE CD.
