This item includes a set of two (2) 1982 UK/Great Britian Queen Elizabeth II Twenty Pence coins: One (1) with a super rare minting error distorting the Queen’s face, especially her nose and upper lip, on the obverse resembling a clown’s face and the 2nd coin is the same 1982 20 Pence coin without any mint errors. My mom was a stickler about always tracking down and purchasing the same coins without errors to make a set of any important coins with errors that she owned, and her tenacity will pay off big time for the luckiest of collectors that purchases this set of 1982 UK 20 pence coins (One with the incredible minting error and one with no minting errors). A coin similar to the 1 in this set without any errors sold on Ebay on 11/15/24 for around $10,000.00 (Note: It was listed for $10k and the Best Offer was Accepted, so the exact price it sold for is unknown.) The coin with the minting error is so unique, one-of-a-kind I believe, because the error can look so different when viewed from the different angles. The last picture I’ve attached is from a black & white coin microscope, mom was old school, and really illustrates the structural integrity of the minting error on the Queen’s face. Pictures 6 and 7 are good examples of the error at the bottom of the obverse, around and to the right of the G in REG, that also appears to have been created during the minting process.
