Such a sweet Cissy! She is ready for that happy-go-lucky 1950s. She’ll wear that cute blouse and pinafore on a shopping trip downtown or a neighbor’s summer BBQ where the ladies used to show off their post war full skirts. This is a beautiful Cissy Doll from Madame Alexander. One owner doll given to me when I was in grade school in the 50s. Condition is excellent for age. Hair has never been combed out. Clothes have been removed less than 10 times including this time to take pictures. There is a small amount of rubbing on the vinyl of the back legs which is noted in the the pictures. She holds her head up well, with just a small wobble. Elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees are all intact and moveable. Cissy does need a good cleaning. She has nearly a blemish free face. The rest of her skin is in very good condition with a few small vinyl wear spots – noted in the pictures. She has a crease or possibly a very small slit in her right hand. Also some very tiny wear on calves and heels where she was sitting. Eyes still open and close, however a few eyelashes are missing on left eye. – noted in pictures. I have tried to give a complete description, but please ask questions if something isn’t clear. Cissy’s clothes are in remarkable condition. The red pinafore is bright and clean. There are no tears or repairs to it. The blouse is in the same excellent condition. The buttonholes are firm; the tiny buttons are original. The crinoline skirt has three layers of ruffles at the bottom and is trimmed with white rickrack. Again, original and no tears or repairs. Elastic at waist is still tight. Her underpants do have 2 tiny spots and a small tear in the fabric near the leg hole. Elastic is tight. All of her clothes could probably use rinsing and ironing to freshen them up but the colors are still bright. The hat is in excellent condition with the red ribbon still attached. Slight fraying at the ends of the ribbons and the elastic band has come loose from one side of hat. No splits or tears in straw. Her shoes are excellent and trim is ruffled and there are two black beads still sewn onto each strap; elastic of straps is stretched. Red felt is intact. One nylon has slight runs; the other is open along bottom seam approximately two inches. Please ask questions before bidding. Cissy is sold As Is.
