Good News: This knife is brand new in the box except it has been adorned by Knafs Mars Space Kitty Scales. This knife has the first generation 1.0 scales rather than the 2.0 scales that followed. Anyone buying the 1.0 version was given a replacement 2.0 version as some of the scales had some finish come off. This has a little of that in the upper corner on the left side by the pivot. Not So Good News: The left side of the blade has been lasered with the words “OGRES MC” in tiny gold letters. This combo sold new for $151.79 (Knife is $108.80 and scales were $42.99. I am selling it for much less due to the engraving and the 1.0 scales although it could be argued having the 1.0 scales is a positive collectible “thing”. A MUST HAVE FOR KNAFS KITTY COLLECTORS. I don’t think there are very many 1.0 scales out there. Also comes with original black G10 scales. The Banter has a high fidget factor with ceramic ball bearings around the pivot and a perfectly manufactured detent that make opening and closing this pocket knife a dream worth repeating again and again. The lanyard hole is large-ish. The black blade versions are DLC coated and stonewashed.
